UPDATE: Masks + What to do when you Arrive at the Practice

Masks

We have reviewed our mask policy as we have come out of winter and seen a decrease in the daily cases of Covid-19 as well as the hospitalisation and ICU numbers relating to Covid-19. In light of this, we are now making masks optional for patients who do not have any cough, cold or flu-like symptoms.

If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask at Temple Hills then please continue to do so. Also if you have forgotten to bring a mask and would like one, please ask someone on our reception team and they will provide one to you. If you have Covid-19 symptoms then masks will remain mandotory when you enter the building.

What to do when you arrive at Temple Hills Medical Centre?

We are still asking patients to call reception prior to entering the building when they arrive for their appointment. This is so that we can confirm your identity and to ask if you have any possible Covid-19 symptoms. If you do have symptoms, we will ask that you remain in your car and the doctor will give you a call when they are ready to see you. When you enter the building we will ask you to wear a mask if you have cough, cold or flu-like symptioms. This allows us to reduce the risk to other patients who are in the waiting room.

We have appreciated all our patients being so co-operative with these measures. At this stage of the pandemic response we feel that these measure are proportional and balance the risk that Covid-19 brings. Ultimately, we have implemented these measures so that all patients feel comfortable coming to the practice. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss. Thanks once again.
